Andy Cohen admits he’s ‘waiting’ for the thing that will cancel him after Bravo lawsuits (2024)

Andy Cohen admitted in a new interview that he is “waiting” for the thing that will cancel him after he’s been hit with a myriad of accusations in lawsuits from former Bravo stars.

“Sometimes at night I’ll be in bed and I’ll think,‘Huh, did I say something?’” the “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” host, 55, said in a Vulture profile published Monday.

“I’m always waiting for the thing that’s going to make it all fall down.”

He added that he’s “fascinated” by the fact you could say something and have the rug pulled out from under you so swiftly.

“You have to be smart about what you say because there’s no nuance anymore,” he told the outlet. “People are just waiting to be outraged by every little thing.”

So far, Cohen appears indestructible — especially after surviving sordid allegations lobbed at him from several “Real Housewives” alums.

In March, ex-“Real Housewives of New York City” star Leah McSweeney filed a lengthy lawsuit in which she accused Cohen of offering cocaine to certain talent and handing out special professional favors to them.

McSweeney, 41, also alleged that Cohen and Bravo hadpreyed on her alcohol issuesin an attempt to generate good ratings and even facilitated a work environment that turned a blind eye to sexually predatory behavior.

Cohen has categorically denied the allegations, with a rep for the TV personality previously telling Page Six, “The claims against Andy are completely false.”

In February, Brandi Glanville accused Cohen of sexual harassment, claiming that he had invited her to watch him and “Below Deck” alum Kate Chastain have sex — which the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star called an “extraordinary abuse of power.”

Cohen brushed this off via X, butpublicly apologized for making an “inappropriate” jokeduring a 2022 phone exchange involving the trio.

The “Housewives” honcho — who serves as an executive producer on every iteration of the franchise — was later cleared in an outside investigation.

Cohen was also roped into “RHONY” alum Bethenny Frankel’s “reality reckoning” efforts of 2023.

Frankel had questioned why reality TV stars weren’t including themselves in the Hollywood writers and actors’ guild strikes for fair pay and better contracts — andencouraged fellow unscripted personalities to unionize.

Subsequently, she assembled a team of lawyers to write a letter to NBCUniversal — Bravo’s parent company — that includedclaims that the network’s reality stars are manipulated, plied with booze and are the victims of revenge p*rn.

“NBCUniversal is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for cast and crew on our reality shows,” an NBCUniversal spokesperson previously told Page Six in part, responding to the accusations.

“At the outset, we require our third-party production partners to have appropriate workplace policies and training in place.”

Frankel later revealed on Team Coco’s “Literally! With Rob Lowe” podcast thather friendship with Cohen deteriorateddue to the war she waged against Bravo.

“I can tell you with great certainty that everyone at Bravo likely despises me, including Andy Cohen,” she said in August 2023, “because it’s very personal and because they have to protect the realm.”

Whether related to Frankel’s “reality reckoning” or not, NBCUniversal has since strengthened its workplace guidelines for its unscripted talent.

FrancesBerwick, Chairman,NBCUniversalEntertainment, sent a note —obtained by Deadlinein September 2023 — to external production companies, informing them of the changes, beginning with alcohol consumption.

“Buildingonourcurrentprotocols,wewillrequirethatyoudeliveranexpandedalcohol-related training to the cast, crew and production team,” Berwick wrote in part, “which must include details on how production will monitor alcohol, including when consumption limits may be appropriate and when and how to intervene to maintain cast and crew safety.”

Throughout it all, Cohen has continued business as normal, hosting “WWHL” and Bravo show reunions with his signature penchant for provocation.

“I like being provocative. It makes me feel alive in a weird way. It’s dangerous. It’s spontaneous. I think it sometimes gets to the heart of who a person is,” he told Vulture.

“If you navigate it well, it can become something incredible and intoxicating. It’s like dancing on the water: Are you going to go over or not?”

Countless Bravolebrities have stood behind Cohen, defending him in a succession of exclusive interviews with Page Six earlier this year.

“Throughout my 14 years of working with Andy, I have witnessed nothing but respect, kindness and support. I have never been offered any type of drug by him ever,” “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Melissa Gorga told us in March.

“Real Housewives of Orange County” veteran Heather Dubrow, for her part, said that she was disappointed by McSweeney’s claims in particular as there was concern they might ruin the “fun experience” of doing promo on “WWHL.”

“I’ve been on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ a million times. I have never seen drugs, heard about drugs, nothing ever. And I’m a kid from the ‘80s, OK?” Dubrow, 55, said in February.

“I have never seen any of that. ‘Watch What Happens Live’ is such a fun experience. Yeah, we have a co*cktail on the show. It’s fun, but there’s a drinking game always with a disclaimer: don’t drink and drive. It’s a fun experience. It’s sad it’s being brought down to this level. My experience has been nothing but positive.”
