It might seem odd to put fast-cooking ramen in the slow cooker, but have no fear. Chicken breast and sour cream turn the humble ramen packet into a tasty and filling dish.

ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 can (10 ounce size) cream of chicken soup
1 package (3 ounce wize) chicken or vegetable flavored ramen noodles with seasoning packet
4 ounces sour cream
directions
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot. Combine the cream of chicken soup in a bowl with the seasoning packet from the ramen. Mix well. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
Crush the ramen noodles and sprinkle them evenly over the soup mixture.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours or on high heat for 2-3 hours or until the chicken is cooked.
During the last 15 minutes of the cooking time, stir the sour cream into the crock pot. Let heat through then serve the chicken and ramen noodles immediately.

ICANHAZNOMNOMS REVIEW:
January 15, 2014I cube the chicken before adding it with the other ingredients. I also add two packages of noodles but only one seasoning packet. It's super easy and so tasty! We all love it! It tastes sort of like chicken stroganoff. Next time we're thinking of using the shrimp ramen and cream of shrimp soup, and adding cooked shrimp in at the end.

AA REVIEW:
January 10, 2014I was pretty disappointed in this recipe. My kids like chicken flavored ramen and we all like chicken so I thought it may be agood recipe. But sadly I was wrong. While it was easy to make no one in my family, including me, liked the flavor. To me it tasted a lot like cream of chicken soup and I HATE cream of chicken soup (I used cream of mushroom in the recipe). I could taste the salt but it wasn't overpowering so there was no issue there for me. But it didn't smell very appetizing while cooking and didn't look too appealing once done. We gave it a try but were really hoping for something different. Won't be making this one again.

November 4, 2013Very easy and good with TONS of flavor. @Mesult - don't dilute it or else I could see it being bland. It was really good just as written. I used low fat sour cream since you're not cooking it just heating it then it won't curdle but otherwise this is perfect as written. Last time I made it I added some frozen green peas to it too.

October 22, 2011OK so I mixed it up a little... I added a little chopped celery, and a can of green beans (unsalted) to the mix to get a little greenery in our dinner. It was yummy, but didn't look very appealing. I left out the sour cream, and added a little ranch seasoning mix. The recipe is very high in sodium, so the beans turned out fine being "no salt added" in the can, and I even used two packs of Ramen noodles, but only one seasoning packet. I also added water to dilute the mix a little, I can't imagine you are suppose to use the soup without the water...The chicken was a little bland... I think it should marinade in something, or you may need a little dipping sauce for it. Maybe if I'd set the Crock-Pot on slow instead of fast, and gave it more time to soak up the mix.Not the most colorful, or healthy mean, but tasty nontheless. This one is easy to make your own :)

Renee REVIEW:
June 16, 2011My boyfriend and I were shocked at how delicious this is! When I threw the ramen in we were almost laughing because it looked so strange. This is now one of our favorite "sometimes" meals (it's loaded with sodium). It's just so tasty! (And very cheap to put together.) We made it with regular chicken flavor the first time; it's good with any chicken flavor. Highly recommended.
