Happy Independence Day!The entire team at Laufer LLP wishes everyone a very safe and happy holiday celebrating our nation’s freedom and the brave men and women who dedicate themselves to preserving it.To commemorate the holiday and provide team members with an enjoyable long weekend, the office will be closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th.

Last Friday, we kicked off the summer season with our first-ever Laufer Team Challenge! The event started weeks in advance as teams promoted their skills by decorating workstations, creating uniforms and spreading some competitive cheer. On the day of the event, everyone enjoyed fun games such the rubber duck catch, water balloon sling shot, tug of war, giant jenga puzzle and catapult building. Congratulations to all the teams for their participation and camaraderie with a special shout out to the Green Team who took 1st Place in the competition!

Since we service so many restaurants, this news story hit close to home. While it can happen to any business, please be aware of this recent payroll cyberscam that forced a NY-based restaurant owner to close his business.
